and use antifreeze, and it pretty much preserves the mice with no odour for months. Will work all winter long also.

Yeah, but there's that disposal problem. I think it's been discussed here before.
I'm quite ok with letting the mice do their thing outdoors. I just don't like them raising their young ones inside my walls.
That's why I'm looking to repel them.
