When we went to the dump this morning on our weekly trip to town, we saw that the eagles have indeed landed. We spotted about 17 of them in the dump (about half were juveniles). Who'd of thought the best place to bird watch was the local dump? IMG_0752.JPG

Such amazing birds. I think they picked the right one to be a national symbol, though I've heard the turkey was considered, and I'm partial to those as well

I saw my first (and only) bald eagle this summer in Southern Vermont.
They truly are beautiful birds. It was amazing to see. Thanks for posting.
