So, I love to split firewood by hand, with a maul axe. Today, I was rewarded with a little surprise. This wonderful piece of poplar opened up with a rainbow of color. It made my day.

Very nice colors. Wish I could come across some wood like that.
I am still using up some wood I harvested a while back. I made some cabinet doors for a buddy of mine. Now I am using up the oddball sizes for cutting boards etc. I'm gonna make myself some new drawer faces for the shop.
