I wandered into a click bate site..

To save you the trouble, here are the results. As I got going, I realized many are not from attacks. Deer, for example, are resulting from auto accidents, although one state said it was hunters shooting each other. And cows resulting from working on ranches or meat processing. The oddball, tigers, was from zoo escapes!

Illinois an New Jersey’s “deadliest” animal is the coyote, which hasn’t killed anyone there? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coyote_attack

That’s why I left Nebraska years ago, those darned killed cows were everywhere. Now I need to keep my head on a swivel for those moose on the loose!

Rattlesnakes for Cal. Snakes have always scared the crap out of me, particularly in surprise situations. Even when I had pet snakes as a kid they gave me the creeps.

Fortunately I have yet to encounter a snake on my property. North facing slope, no rocky outcroppings, no grass, minimal sun. I think they prefer the other side of the valley, sunny, warmer, grassier, rocky.
