I wandered into a click bate site..
To save you the trouble, here are the results. As I got going, I realized many are not from attacks. Deer, for example, are resulting from auto accidents, although one state said it was hunters shooting each other. And cows resulting from working on ranches or meat processing. The oddball, tigers, was from zoo escapes!
Alabama - dogs Alaska - moose Arizona - dogs Arkansas - black bear California - rattle snakes Colorado - cougars Connecticut - bobcats Delaware - coyote Florida - mosquitoes Georgia - snakes Hawaii - shark Idaho - bears Illinois - coyote Indiana - deer Iowa - cows Kansas - cows Kentucky - black bear Louisiana - hornets Maine - moose Maryland - bees Massachusetts - stinging insects Michigan -dogs Minnesota - deer Mississippi - deer Missouri - snakes Montana - grizzly bear Nebraska -cows Nevada -deer mice New Hampshire -dogs New Jersey - coyote New Mexico - deer New York - dogs North Carolina - fire ants North Dakota - bison Ohio - dogs Oklahoma - tigers Oregon - stinging insetcs Pennsylvania - dogs Rhode Island - black widow South Carolina - wasps South Dakota - bison Tennessee - brown recluse Texas - fire ants Utah - deer Vermont - deer ticks Virginia -dogs Washington - stinging insects West Virginia - stinging insects Wisconsin - deer Wyoming - bear

Illinois an New Jersey’s “deadliest†animal is the coyote, which hasn’t killed anyone there? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coyote_attack

That’s why I left Nebraska years ago, those darned killed cows were everywhere. Now I need to keep my head on a swivel for those moose on the loose!

Rattlesnakes for Cal. Snakes have always scared the crap out of me, particularly in surprise situations. Even when I had pet snakes as a kid they gave me the creeps.
Fortunately I have yet to encounter a snake on my property. North facing slope, no rocky outcroppings, no grass, minimal sun. I think they prefer the other side of the valley, sunny, warmer, grassier, rocky.
