Anyone got a smoke detector that send a text or something if triggered? Sort of like the trail cams?

I know there are ones that notify the fire dept..

Well turns out they do make 'smart' smoke alarms that send you a text. I'm thinking about it. My cabin and shop are pretty much disconnected when I am not there. Propane shut off at the tank, batteries disconnected except for solar charging.

Of course they have alarms that notify the local fire dept.. We get them all the time, so far 100% false alarms.

Another outside the box solution would be one of those new Wyze cameras. They have sound detection specifically for smoke detectors and will send you a notification and a 12 second video clip. Great little inexpensive cameras.

Thanks Al. I checked out the web site. Pretty neat. I'm now wondering why I spent $150 on a trail cam..

Don't feel bad, they just announced that last week. People have been begging for years and its just now in preorder for August delivery.

I have a couple of the regular Wyze cams outdoors, semi-sheltered under the soffits so they're not in direct weather...and they've held up ok
