I'm wanting to install a 100 amp service panel which I'll power from a portable generator. Do I need to install a solid grounding rod? If so, do I only run the wire to the service panel, or is it necessary to ground the generator? I thought I read somewhere that the generator frame acted as a ground. Thanks in advance!
