So I'm looking into building my own battery bank for hybrid system. It is all hypothetical at this point as we are still in the planing stages. I know the risks of lead exposure and am equipped PPE for it. That being said I can't seem to find any info on how many coils or the volume of acid need to generate X volts or Ah.
I guess what I'm getting at is if I build a battery in a 1 gallon jar with max coils what's its potential vs one in a 5 gallon jar? Like I said all hypothetical, 40g fish tank... Better or worse. If I'm over thinking this just let me know

I have to ask why build a lead-acid battery from home made lead-acid cells?
You do realize you need many cells; only 2 volts per cell, no matter how big the cell. Bigger cells, more lead, more acid, makes more AH.
No idea where to start looking for details.
