Re-reading a bunch of past posts here you always hear that the initial cost is prohibitive for lithium.
Well like I said in a recent response I just purchased 4 1kwh Volt modules for well under $1,000 shipped. My feeble math told me that these are equivalent to my current 8 x 330 6 Volt Trojans.
Frankly they seem to come to market almost every day, although the 48 Volt packs are more common, and even from 2 cars with 40k on them my 24 volt Volts should last a long time if I take good care and feeding.
So.....unless my math is off...initial cost was waaay less than replacing my current batteries and the ROI is off the charts. But I will miss the hauling and watering and acidic fumes. Even the $1,2000 4 kwh Volt modules seem cheaper than buying a comparable "usable" amount of LA bank.
So what am I missing? I can't be the smartest person in the world. Did I ingest too much of the Creeky Kool-Aid? Are people skittish about buying used vs. new?
What am I missing?
