Looking for an off grid stove and the Unique version appears to get some good reviews
Unique 30†Off Grid in Black
Does anyone know of any suppliers in the NYS area?
Seem to be having some trouble locating a supplier as I think it is a CN manufacturer?
Or
Is there any as good alternatives which are readily available?
Thanks
Paul

Unless there is somewhere right near the US border that sells them as I am upstate NY and it would not be too far to go?

The Glen Falls Home Depot seems to carry Unique gas ranges. If they don't have that particular model they could probably order it.

I tried HD and also called their customer support line
They dont have the 30" available anywhere
I can order it, but they are quoting 6-8 weeks!!
Other option is this model;
Premier 30"

Though does not get as good a review as the Unique version

Call Unique directly, they should be able to point you at a local dealer. I LOVE my Unique 24 Classic (Black & Stainless).

Alot of the older gas stoves didnt need 120v power. Il be scouring for sale sites for mine when the need comes. For now we are useing a camp chef oven/stove.
6-8 weeks for HD is prety normal on odd stuff like that. Bix box stores suck for special items like this.

I have the premier at my cottage going on its 5th year and its been great. Just batteries for the sparker to ignite and I've had no issues with it. Its a real nice option as opposed to cooking everything on the BBQ like we used to do.

The link that I sent you was for the American Costco. Are they not all over NYS?

Some info on the Premier gas range.

For the Unique, there's this site, but it looks like you're looking at 4-6 weeks for delivery.

I have a unique fridge and was looking for a unique stove to match...I live in Upstate NY as well and did not want to deal with the wait, (or price).
I ended up just buying a gas stove with a propane conversion..most stoves can do this.
BUT...as it was not a true off grid stove it did not have a battery powered ignition system. It gets a bit hairy trying to light the oven with a long lighter and like your wife, mine has certain...lets say..demands.
Luckily my solar is inverted to 110 so I ended up just running an outlet to the stove and viola.

So the range is plugged into AC and has electric ignition for the stove top burners. As well the oven works. Usually that means the oven uses a glowbar that is drawing a few hundred watts whenever the oven is turned on. Is that yours? Or ???

I’m in Ontario and had my stove in a week. Yes they are made in Canada. It takes one D size battery to ignite the pilots. The battery is behind the bottom front panel. Buy a oven thermometer since in my experience most ovens don’t read the true temperature on the dial. On this stove I need to turn it up 25 degrees. The burner on the right is like a turbo burner. It puts out the most BTU’s. The back right is a simmer burner. The left two are regular burners that cannot be turned down low enough to simmer a soup or stew etc.. I would call the company directly and ask them about shipping. I called them to ask a few questions before I purchased my stove and refrigerator. They were very helpful in answering my questions. I would not buy a stove that is not made for off grid. You are off grid, buy accordingly.
Off Topic:
My husband bought a piece of copper sheet to top my IKEA cabinet (the only IKEA piece in my cabin, bought because of the great storage capacity). The hardware is original to my city home kitchen that was built in 1954. I saved them for thirty years in anticipation of using them in my cabin. I save everything, lol.

Forgot to add, the flashlight on the counter is so I can check on my baking since there is no light inside the oven.
