Creeky I know you have the answer here

I am using 4, 2kw Chevy Volt lithium modules which are performing spectacularly! I am using one of Creeky's BMS units to keep the cells in balance and all 48 are within one hundredth of being identical.

The question is what voltage to leave the modules at when we shut down the cabin this fall..... we will be up in the winter. I have read in as another post and have been told to leave them at about 80% . Well math says 80% of 48 volts is 38.4 volts. But wait!! This is WAY LOWER than these modules should be discharged to, let alone used from when we come up in the winter.

Help! At what voltage should they be left? My guess is about 46 volts?

Thanks!

80% is of the usable capacity. So your useful voltage is 40-48v. 80% is indeed 46v.

Those redwings rule! And they have super low overhead.
