Hello Everyone,
Need some feed back... Anyone have a Honda EU7000? This is the generator I am most likely going to get. it is a step up from our EU3000. Does anyone own one and are they happy with it?

My work has the older model: EU6500
Don't have any direct experience with it regarding how much it will power. But, it is absolutely quiet. We can stand right over it running full speed and have a conversation without yelling. On idle, it is even quieter of course...

I know you mentioned about it would be nice to have it running off propane. This place sells conversion kits. Don't know anything about them. May void warranty?

I have the older EU6500is, same unit, yours is just fuel injected. Finest gennie mfg on the planet. I use mine for home. It powers everything, ie electric range, oven, water heater, clothes dryer, just not all at the same time and it does it in eco mode with ease, noise level is the exact same as the EU2000/2200i

Thank you the replies... it is great to get real input from real people. You just never know when a review is fake these days.
SCSjeff:It is amazing how quit these generators are! I have the EU3000 and that is also super quit.
Cspot: Appericate thanks for the info, but it would void the warranty. To risky with this expensive machine.
Toyota: The power is insane. If you get a chance check out you tube on people trying to surge this generator. It reached 7800.00 watts before surging. That's some power for a unit this quit!
My mind is made up going with the Honda! Now just figuring out if I should buy local or get the discount from an online guy

I got mine online, paid cash, got it for $3125 shipped to a commercial address (my work)
I had to replace the 12V battery once. I stick with the OE brand Yuasa, they last forever. I think I bought mine in 2006 or so, not really sure. Maybe later.

At that price i would be looking at buying a diesel generator. Propane and gas would be my last choice. You could have a years worth of fuel delivered and not worry about it going bad or doing 5gal jugs

I don't think the diesels come with clean energy. I would not be able to run certain electronics. Fridge, cell phone charges, tv, ETC.
I wish they made an diesel inverter generator, that would be great!
Best price I could find on the EU7000 is 4300.00, but I hear it is worth the money and works great!

I do in my home. A quality unit will be 1800rpms and produce a nice sine wave and have no isues running electronics. Theres prety mich nothing in your house today that dosnt have a circuit board short of a space heater.
Kubota, yanmar and cummins all make quality diesel generators. Now if you want to go to the used market and had $4500 to spend you can get a sub 10hr 10kw military unit that will live longer than you and last thousands of hours.

Thanks Brettny… I will look into diesel before I buy. I didn't know that was an option I know they will last a lot longer. I wonder if it will sip gas like the honda. or if I will have to spend a lot of money on fuel

diesels are heavy, probably not best suited for portable use, maybe for a more permanent setting? The EU7000is rolls nice with handles and wheels which they all come with and fold away to make compact. It is a heavier unit
Diesels are pricey to repair too.
