I had a strange problem this week at my cabin in upstate NY. my pellet stove would only run on the gen. I use an Aimes 3000 watt Mppt inverter. my frig and my pellet stove are the only 120 volt Items other than a couple outlets and the clock on the gas range all others are 12 volts. refrig was fine on genney power or solar. but when i ran the pellet stove on the solar the blower motor would not run? any thoughts

Quoting: krstrout1 3000 watt Mppt inverter You have some terms mixed up I think..... MPPT refers to charge controllers..... inverters could be sine wave or modified sine wave though
Has the pellet stove ever run okay on the inverter (solar) only? Some motors do not like modified sine wave inverter power.

ICC your absolutely right about it being pure sine wave inverter, not MPPT. I'm a bit miffed on the whole deal. And no it has never run on solar power. I will try a regular inverter. Thanks.

A pure sine wave inverter should NOT produce any problems. The modified sine wave might be a problem with some things; some motors. So if you really do have a pure sine wave inverter there must be some other problem, but I have no suggestions... Pure sine wave inverters produce the waveform that you have on a grid tie electric system. That is what AC devices are designed to operate on.

Thank you, ICC for taking the time to at least try.
