I'm in the process of buying a water heater. In my area the Marey 5L and Eccotemp L5 cost the same, so that's not a factor. I would like to hear from folks about their experiences and recommendations on which one to buy. Thanks

Recently got the ecotemp L5. Works great. Plenty hot.

I'm running the marey. It has a little more adjustability, that's why I went with it.

It's ran on the same batteries all summer. It's been a solid preformer.

Running an eccotemp L5 for heating water for washing machine. Same batteries for several summers now. Performs well, but I cannot vouch for the temp of the water since it goes into the washing machine and not on my back. Using at EZTankless in the house for shower and dishes. Also performs well, same batteries for several summers. Would recommend either, although both are fairly low-flow setups compared to some other larger heaters.

EcoTemp L5 has worked great this summer as an outdoor shower. Hooked up to a Sea-Flo 5.5 gpm 12v water pump. Water temperature adjusted on the heater works great from warm to scalding. Water pressure will blast the dead skin off your body.

I would look into how good the customer service of each is, then choose.

Good point. I did have to return my first L5 because it had a dent in the box/housing from fed ex shipping. I called customer service and they shipped me a new one pretty quickly. And the person I talked with spoke English, which is nice for a change.lol

I've had an L5 for 8 years now and it has been a beast.....totally reliable!
Their larger models have been bad for me, 2 of them both crapped out...and their customer service was non-existent for me...
