I made this urinal with the old pressure tank off the well.
As you see it's a copper tank and had to be 70+ years old.
I save everything (for good or bad) and all the brass pipe, fittings and valves I've pulled off old boilers and refrigeration equipment. It's fully functioning and works really well.

That is so awesome looking.. looks steampunk!
A lot of theme restaurants/places would love to have urinals just like it.

Now THAT is what I call a Classic Urinal any guy would be happy to sprinkle in.... Now the Missus may want her own female version... Excellent Recycling Job !
Now a wee question (pun intended)...
Did you coat in the copper with something as urine will green it up fairly quickly... Believe it or not, dunno if it's still done, but it is one way that copper get's greened (oxidized) when replacing small section of a copper roof so it blends in, rinsed off of course.
Or do you intend to let the natural process oxidize it ? Somehow don't see anyone wanting to polish it... hehehehe, even rinsed out well.

I'm going to let nature take its coarse let the greening process begin... In fact it was almost instant. Not a lot you can do really. Lacquer can end up pealing and making a mess, wax or oil is temporary as it is plus the water running over it...
I'm expecting it to turn green, blue, etch inside and brownish on the outside and give it an age appropriate appearance.
Thanks for positive feedback it was a fun project

Thank you, I tried to make the composting toilet look conventional with the wooden tank and pipe for the less outdoorsy types that may come to the cabin.
The wall behind all that is made up from 2 X 6 tong and grooved yellow pine boards that I salvaged from a local race track when they tore down the horse stalls.
On the other side of the room I used it behind the bathroom vanity over the sink and shower. I like repurposing things, using things that have some sort of history to them.
Like the window and door trim in the parlor are old oak floor boards from an art museum, light fixtures and so on mixed with new stuff. It makes it all a fun story to tell.

Eddy you got it perfectly ! People ask what's your cabin like and you say, well it has this, that, and the other thing, plus lot's of repurposed etc... Of course no one can picture or imagine it as they thing drywall, some wood trim, maybe wood doors...
Not their fault BUT they miss the point of being a Cabineer ! The cabin has to have a story around every corner, personality & character and we must never forget that the "Perfection is the Imperfection", like the tatty iron wagon wheel converted to a chandelier, or the really old Train Oil Lamps hanging on the wall.
