If anyone has a recommendation for a good performing outdoor omnidirectional FM antenna I would love to hear from you.
I've tried splitting off of my mast mounted existing VHF-hi TV antenna and the results are good but the antenna is directionally locked in for TV and I don't want to have to constantly rotate it to listen to radio from other source directions.
I'm at about 1900 feet in the mountains/forest in the middle of the Adirondack Park in NY.
TY!

Caveat: I have not tried any of the following:
1. You might try a vertical wire antenna, possibly using tv mast. If you have a favorite FM station you desire, try making this antenna resonant by going with maybe a full wavelength or 1/4 wavelength antenna for that station.
2. Here's an outdoor omni from eBay https://www.ebay.com/i/272746662257?chn=ps&dispItem=1&ul_ref=http%253A%252F%252Frover .ebay.com%252Frover%252F1%252F711-117182-37290-0%252F2%253Fmpre%253Dhttps%25253A%2525 2F%25252Fwww.ebay.com%25252Fi%25252F272746662257%25253Fchn%25253Dps%252526dispItem%25 253D1%2526itemid%253D272746662257%2526targetid%253D358220011364%2526device%253Dt%2526 adtype%253Dpla%2526googleloc%253D9014987%2526poi%253D%2526campaignid%253D887244402%25 26adgroupid%253D44555983916%2526rlsatarget%253Dpla-358220011364%2526abcId%253D1129086 %2526merchantid%253D114754784%2526gclid%253DCj0KCQjwnubLBRC_ARIsAASsNNlb7AYawJMxh73tG AT5sI77tZRrZjLT_jdr_FGsGaRaDiZHF2SFTSkaAvb6EALw_wcB%2526srcrot%253D711-117182-37290-0 %2526rvr_id%253D1269195440700
3. I use an indoor tv/fm loop, manually turning for optimized FM. A DIY loop can be optimized for a favorite station.
4. If you have room in an attic space and non-metal roof, tv/fm or DIY antenna could be installed there to manually rotate with rod protruding through ceiling (pretty, I know...)
Might also consider a GE Superradio model 1, 2 or 3, known for long distance reception. No longer made, but still obtainable.
Interesting FM signal strength website: http://www.fmfool.com. You can get an idea of what you can get at your location with various antenna heights, etc.
Let us know what works!

Darn shame there is no way to turn a Tin Roof into an antenna for radio signals...

Ungrounded tin roof will work as an AM antenna, but I think code says metal roofs should be grounded.
