Looking at building a solar water heater and gravity fed system for my off the grid cabin. I have the solar water heater pretty much figured out, but i need advice on making the sink and shower water fed with hot/cold water.
2 tanks will be in the attic, one tank will have hot water from the solar system im building, the other will be cold water fresh from my spring. the tank will sit about 5 feet above the sink on the other side of the cabin and the shower head would be within 8 feet over the tank with only a foot height difference or so. my question is what do i need to do to be able to have hot and cold go to the sink so you can mix the water like you would at home and also for the shower for temperature adjustment. What size copper should i use? what kind of shower head should i use? what should i use for having a "faucet" for the kitchen sink. Any input would be helpful. i can post pictures of the cabin and drawings if needed for a better idea. Thanks

You will not have much pressure with that system . Could you have a surflow pump 12 volt .. that would help alot .if not go with 1 in pipe..may be able to get enough volume for a shower??

It takes 2.3 feet of water to get 1pound of warer pressure to get regular household pressure your barrels would need to be 50 ft above the shower head ..
