I've decided upon and determined to obtain a wringer washer. I'll have a decent solar set-up with a generator backup so that aspect shouldn't be a problem concerning electricity. My main worry will be water as I intend to use a rain catchment and storage for all my water.

As for the wringer washers, finding a used one is nearly impossible in my location, S.Ky, and when they do popup, a promised working model is 4-5 hundred dollars and the only place that still sells new is Lehman's https://www.lehmans.com/p-3046-home-queen-wringer-washers.aspx which are imported from Saudi Arabia, I've read, and very expensive considering.

Still, I have another year or two before I pull the plug so the search is still underway.

I found a nice working one on craigslist for $70. Uses about 350 watts and 6.5 amps. I run it off Honda 2000i and holds 16 gallons of water.

You can get search notifications from craigslist and ebay emailed to you when new ones are listed. I've done this for several items and have found what I'm looking for, for prices I'm willing to pay, especially if you have time.

I check Craigslist every few days have only had one pop once ($70) in the past three years. I'm in S.Ky and the 'nearest to you option' always has a couple or three priced fairly reasonably in Wyoming or such.
