6v question

I got a 6v computer fan to move a little heat off my stove. A normal square 6v lantern battery turns it full power. I pulled the blue battery out of one of the kids toys they ruined, a small motorcycle IIRC. It won't turn the fan. They both measure 6.25v. The black is new, the blue has been sitting off the charger for weeks, but still has 6.25v.
Any idea why it won't work?

the blue is dead. it might show 6v idle fresh off the charger. but as soon as it gets asked to do any work it will collapse. and as dead is what you're seeing... it's hey ho, off to the recycle bin.
