Hmmmm, a sun shade for your solar panels that can pivot to completely cover the panels to keep them dry when it rains? Or does that contraption keep the bird doo doo off the panels? I dunno, you tell me.

It's to keep the snow off the panels and deflect the light down to the panels??

My guesses are:
1) keep leaves & debris off (it's pretty green out there). 2) keep snow off (not durable enough for that really) 3) to reflect light @ panels (white is better at full spectrum reflection as opposed to mirror) 4) a new form of Bug Zapper with extra benefits...

I know, I know! It's a combination fold down solar panel array and ping-pong/pool table bed. Gotta be!

It's a snow, pine needle, bird poop deflector. I had a solid white plastic on it but it blocked too much light coming in from behind and above while the frosted lets it through. The most important thing was to be sure the panels are solidly anchored to the ground for obvious reasons. So far so good.

Winds gusting around 50 no lift off....that's encouraging. Did power test on individual panels and all showed nearly identical output so no power losses due to visor....yaay!
