First post here, been a creeper for a while
Here is a project that I just finished to charge the battery system at my cabin. I dont use any power at the cabin now, but I do use batteries for my sluice box on the river. Having a power source now means that I will probably energize the cabin for a light and maybe a radio!

Did some more testing today on a real creek, and got some better results indeed. Made 23V AC! If you know electronics you will laugh at my rectifier at the end!
