I am planning to bring up a couple of 10 gallon jugs every time I go up to the cottage and I was hoping that there would be a way that I could hook it up to a tap and sink so that gravity would take care of the tap pressure.
Does anyone have any suggestions about how to do this?

Find some kind of fitting you can fir to a cap on the container. If the cap is heavy enough you could drill and tap for a pipe thread. Or drill and glue a fitting. Use a hose to connect to pipe threads on the inlet side of the faucet.
Gravity won't give you any pressure without a height between container and faucet. You get 0.43 PSI per foot of elevation between water level and faucet.

Thanks for the suggestion. I think my problem is that I am not sure how to feed the tap since most taps that I have seen have the water supply hose connected from underneath. If that's the case then gravity won't push the water out? Do you know what I mean?

You can go cheap by just using a regular hose bib, those are what your hoses connect to at home. Normally the come with a 1/2 or 3/4 male IPS (Iron pipe size) thread. then you just thread it into a threaded 90 strapped to the wall. Anyone working in a hardware store or big box store plumbing dept can get you going. At my cabin the water system is gravity. I have a 550 gal tank and a 210 transfer tank I throw in the back of the pick up when I go into town. At the town hall they sell water for 3/4 cents a gallon. We have a lot of people living off the grid in the area.

Not sure this is a concern. The gravity pressure will be based on the height of the water in the cistern vs the faucet height. A loop of hose below the faucet will not "break" this. Down side is slightly harder to drain so plan for this. On a large scale think of any town that uses a water tower to feed water to houses. Pipes run underground then up to the faucets. Still - I like the tub faucets MtnDon linked!

cant drain mtndons faucet dont use that one if your cabin freezes
or modify it add a drain

We have two plastic barrels mounted in the peak of our hunt camp. Cathedral ceiling. We pump water from a nearby creek , to fill them. Always put a bit of bleach , in the pump hose , this is then transferred to the barrels, to kill the bad bugs. Use this for dish washing etc.
Water flows by gravity to the tap, at the sink. You have to install a drain tap in the loop under your sink , or it will freeze and bust your taps. You can go on to a shower as well.
We bring drinking water from home.

mojo, just cut the line at the low point . Install a steel T 1/2 inch, Use 2 plasticpipe to 1/2 inch steel pipe adapters. Thread any tap , that has a 1/2 inch thread in the bottom. To drain the loop all you have to do is open the tap. We leave ours open. Don't forget to close it when you refill your tank in the spring, or you will have a mess. I like to wrote a note to myself, in case I have a seniors moment. old243
