3 months now off grid and Iv'e made it through winter nicely. So far all the years of planning and thought that went into this dream come true of mine has paid off.I can't tell you enough how thrilled I am to actually be doing this.I'm living just as comfortably here off grid as I did in town.Less all the expenses. It's all gone beautifully.

That is good. So what is the most important thing you have learned?? What is the one thing you have missed the most??

So rayyy, if you are like me, you must now be asking yourself how can I make it better?
Well? (Aside from the mud)!

Those are 2 tough questions,Neb.Most important thing learned,,,To have faith in your self.Your thoughts and ideas, planning and designing befor you build it.Also the use of the computer and the internet. To be able to research virtually anything you can imagine, find it out there and purchase it shipped right to you.Everything from 12 volt light bulbs to plugs, sockets, the wood stove, the generator, the solor kit,the windmill, the water pump, the washer/dryer,the hot water heater, the gas frig, the gas range, the gas heater, the water tank,,,none of this would have been possible without that internet.Ebay, craigslist, amazon,jc whitney, northern tool, lemans just to name a few of my most popular venders.
Now what I miss the most???I can honestly say I can't think of anything.lol.I still have it all.Life is good.

I'm glad for you and also for being that maverick. I for one as much as I love the outdoors and being in solitude I'm not sure I could live off grid for the long haul. My hat goes off to you.
