I bought and installed one of these last week, on the output side of the Shurflo, and thought I'd report in.
As expected, when turning the sink on it takes a second or two longer for the pump to kick on, and instead of shutting off immediately the pump slows a bit until enough pressure has built up.
Not sure it's really doing me any good, just thought I'd spend 30 bucks on something.

Not sure it would do any good but putting the $30 towards a bottle of Teelings Single Malt Irish Whiskey would be more fun and less work.

Lol. Full sheet, Home Depot is down to 30 for 1/2.
My Whiskey days are mostly over, after a long career, Scotch being my preference. With that and all the automotive chemicals I've been immersed in I'm trying to save what's left of my liver. Won't turn one down at the bar but that's about it.

My liver has been bad.... it must be punished! Stranahan's Colorado single malt.... and a little Glengoyne 12 yr old single malt scotch.

Not sure what you mean. It never pulsated before so no change there. If you mean the pump cycling on and off at low flow yeah it helps that.

Some RV pumps pulsate due to that cycling on and off at low flow. The accumulator tanks address that.

For us it made enough of a difference to even out our L10 instant water heater and keep it from shutting off.

One thing I'm noticing on mine.. with a garden hose spray nozzle, the Shurflo alone it will run constantly with a constant spray. With this tank the stream will be strong at first, then weaken down until the pressure drops enough for the pump to kick back on. Kind of annoying. There is an air valve on the tank that may help but I haven't looked into it.

It is often recommended to set the pre-charge air pressure in the accumulator either the same as the pressure at which the pump turns on or 1 to 2 PSI less.

Typing this out so I understand. Turn the water on, the air in the tank keeps the pressure up and the pump off until both air and water pressure drop sufficiently to turn the pump on.
Increasing the air pressure will prolong the time it takes to turn then pump back on, and decreasing pressure will do the opposite
Is that right?

Well I removed the tank. When I used the shower the L5 heater would shut off every time the pressure dropped and then kick back on when the pump started, with the usual 3-4 seconds of scalding hot water. Without the tank, the pump runs constant when the shower is going.
Maybe could have made some adjustments but as I said there really didn't seem to be any benefit anyway. I guess you could run the sink water for a couple seconds to wet a tooth brush without the pump turning on, but I have gravity feed for that with the pump off anyway. The pump switch is on the wall next to the sink.
