Hello,
I have a cabin in MacFarlan West Virginia 25 acres , zero cell phone service, zero power just generator, almost done with the cabin but what could I do to get a signal Satellite dish for internet and TV signal ? They have fibre nearby recently but not down my road which is 2 miles off the main road. Just curious what other folks do , I do have standard phone service on the property so I guess a dial up modem could work? thinking about monthly cost as well

We have been using Viasat satellite internet, 100gb/month @ $160.00 ouch! We can stream TV but data management is crucial. The plan is 100gb unlimited meaning if we go over the CAN throttle down our speed. We have only went over a couple of times and no throttling occurred.
Our deposit is in for Starlink.... can't wait!

For cell service, you might want to check with Verizon or a reseller that uses their towers, (a search showed they covered your area, but without specifics I have no idea). We are switching in the hopes of having service at our cabin to a V reseller, US mobile, since they use both T-mobile and Verizon towers. If you can get decent cell service you can maybe add a hotspot for internet.
