My $.02 on the generator situation for an AirBNB rental: Don't.
People DGAF about taking care of stuff that doesn't belong to them. Imagine the dumbest thing someone could do to an extremely expensive generator and automatic transfer switch...then assume they will figure out how to do something worse.
If you're feeling generous wire the cabin up to take power from an external generator with a proper plug/receptacle and it's up to the renters to power the place if they want to.
