Pent roof: A new construction term to me. (Doesn’t seem to have been used anywhere on this forum.)
I was searching for pictures of those short roofs over garage doors and found out that they are called “pent†roofs.

Pent roof (pentice, skirt roof if carried around the house[4]): A roof appended, thus the name, to the wall of a building and by implication having further roofs or terraces above. (See gallery below)
