I think I have a crack very high up in my outhouse tank, i got it pumped out this year and it was great for about a month and then it rained very hard, i had some drops coming on the back wall of the toilet but the next time i came up the tank was full to the top. this leads me to believe that the crack is high up on the tank and might be where the cap sits on it. I plan to dig out around it this weekend and patch any cracks or crevices i find. Anyone have similar issues or advice is greatly appreciate.

for reference one side of the top of the tank is above ground about 1 foot and the other side is even with the ground level i am assuming the issue on the ground level side and hoping hydraulic cement will fix it.

$hitty situation.
Hope it’s a simple fix but until you find what the problem is tough to say. Grading around it to keep running water away can’t hurt though
