My cabin is 14ft x 18ft. It has plywood interior walls.id rather use pine but my question is should I remove the plywood first or put pine over it? Would you use tongue and groove or shiplap? I'm open to opinions or suggestions.

I would go over it. The plywood strengthens the walls and provides a draft and vapour barrier. Shiplap might be cheaper.

Both good points. I might just cut a small piece out just to see what the insulation and wiring looks like.

Yes what is behind it would be my first question. How ever if theres no insulation or its very old you can cut a strip out at the top and blow insulation in.
