Looking for opinions on paint stripper for a deck. I'm going to put new deck boards and railings. The old deck is painted. I want to do a wood stain on the new part. I want to strip the paint on the front face of the beam and the end joist and stain it.

Any suggestions on a good paint stripper?

Sand it. Or pressure wash the hell out of it.

Or nail a new 1x over the face to hide the old paint, replace the floor and railings and stain.

I can only recall trying to strip paint off wood once, redwood in a shower enclosure. Don't know if it was water or oil based, but it didn't do much, gave up. I used the premium Jasco in the gold can, same stuff strips paint off metal no problem. Something about wood..
