Hey Guys,
Looking to build a small cabin or tiny house off grid.
Then I saw these kits on Amazon. Anybody ever try putting one together?

The Amazon link shows Allwood Outlet. Clicking on that returns "AllwoodOutlet is a retail site for consumer products manufactured and imported by Allwood Industrials LLC."
The seven customer reviews show several negative reviews with detail and no detail on the positive reviews.
Google Allwood Industrials LLC shows their website and a Better Business Bureau complaint.
For $5300 you get a enough 2x4's imported from Estonia to make a 9x12 shed.
You can get one pre-built in the U.S. locally for $2800.
So this smells like Spam. Rip-off?

LMAO indeed.... There are actually Tiny House & Cabin kits on Amazon, my GF fund them and pointed them out so I looked. Some are well... as described above BUT not all. There are some pretty decent offerings on complete Tiny Homes on Trailers with options etc... There are also Pre-Packed (Flat Pack) cabins with SIP walls etc, even a few from China with outstanding specs (and Code Certified). I am not that brave to test that myself.

Check out this company located in Vermont. https://jamaicacottageshop.com
They ship nationally and to Canada. I've visited their display models on site twice and plan to build one myself in 2020.
Also, look up Lumnah Acres on YouTube. They're homesteader's in NH who built a barn from this company. He did a great job documenting the build single handedly. Look for his playlist "Ordered A Post and Beam Barn on the Internet".
