I'm pouring a slab for my cabin and want to put in a curbless shower. How is that done?

The short answer is get out your checkbook to buy an expensive commercial solutions, or to pay a good tile/mortar craftsman, or both. The commercial solutions all seem very expensive. Depending how rustic and simple your cabin is, there are plenty of cheaper and easier ways to go.

this would call for proper planning your slab and drain correctly prior to pouring. You would need to account for the drop in the drain level due to the lower shower pan level due to slope, 1/8" to 3/16" slope per foot would be less noticeable and aesthetically pleasing in a curbless drain.

Much easier to plan this beforehand than to add a curbless in an existing level slab, thats for sure.
