Need thoughts.
Green roof, white windows. Thinking dark brown cedar shake vinyl siding. White soffit, white corner trim, white fascia.
Thoughts? I'm open to ideas.

Grayne makes a very nice vinyl cedar shake. That's what I've been looking at.

Cobblestone skirting. Vertical siding up to the roof line. Then the cedar shake, or scallops up to the peak. If you wanted to pimp out your windows, maybe you could trim them out with fluted side rails with rosettes or a faux foam colonial top trim. Shutters? And maybe at the peak.

Have you considered using fire resistant materials? At the very least you could put Hardie cement boards on the soffits since a wildfire will frequently race up a wall and get "trapped" under the roof overhangs (and then billow into the attic space through the vents).
A better option would be using a cement board panel for the exterior walls too. Hardie also makes shake style cement panels.
One very nice exterior detail is to use a "belt line" trim board about 8" high and an inch thick and run it around the cabin at the top of the highest main floor window. This creates a natural spot to changes materials from the lower level to the upper level.

You can continue with trim by adding corner boards an a second belt line at the base of the walls.
