Yes agree! The higher functioning with social skills make life so much better for the rest of us.
Interesting question too. A good start.
A range of costs might be helpful. Is A-frame construction cheaper, faster, better etc in any way than other forms of construction?
I know with western CDN city/urban housing around the time of my purchase decades ago, $90 - $100/sq ft was bandied about as a rough proxy for costs. Unfortunately I have no idea what it would be here today.

I gess I had a advantage I built a bunky last spring for some friends. Dryed in for 3500.00$ add a small solar system 1000.00 a wood stove and chimney 2000:00 water system maybe 1000.00 interior finishes and insulation 2000.00 +500.00 for a outhouse. So it was fresh in this old brain, 10000 devide 150 sq. Ft. 66$ a sq ft. “Justâ€a gess ...

Quoting: Just Gary O. is the A fram expert resident may be others? $10K is safe for a 10x12, ol sod (You know this) Gotta build it yerself tho. But, heh, that's the fun...seein' what yer made of ...by making something
(I'm creating pie cupboards right now, designing/making large wood smaller) my spiritual fiber has become a tad ragged over it...A Frame cabins, however, are quite forgiving
if you put yer very best into it, you'll come to enjoy even just lookin' at it down the line

Thanks Gary for posting these pictures, That looks like a good one to start with. I think my plans are too much for me to start with and really need to start small like this.
What length are the roof rafters?
Thanks!

A few more words on this;
As far as the small A-frame is concerned They are smaller than the small cabin Even with 4 foot pony walls
and
A true A-frame dictates a somewhat severe pitch Of which dictates a lot of roof A Lot
The one I built is 58°
I find them quite attractive But Aesthetics end where practicality begins
I suggest considering a 45° pitch Still has a cabin-like look Six to eight foot walls More room Much more room
