Hello
I've been trying to find out how much of the concrete stem wall must be above grade. Does anyone know what BC Building code is on that, I've been told 6" and 8".

Don't know what BC code is on that, but I'd go with the higher number, or more if possible. Even here in this dry climate (central California) I see rot on bottom plates and plywood if there is less than 8" to dirt. Concrete is porous and soaks water upward to a certain extent. Bottom plates and rafter tails are always the first to go, being closest to water.

Thank you!
I plan on using icf's, so shouldn't wick like bare concrete, but I will keep your suggestions in mind.
