The number of posts you use should be a function of the total building weight and the weight bearing capacity of your footings.
The spans between posts is a function of what you put between them- wider beams/joists will cover longer spans.
The Ozco post bases look fairly heavily made, but if you use them to support a building there are several things to consider. First, it's going to be a temporary building. Ozco post bases are made for fences and pergolas, and will probably last about as long as the wood in a fence or pergola will last. Do you want to spend all that money and time on a temporary building?
Second, you will need to provide lateral support for the posts that go from the post base to your floor framing. Otherwise a heavy wind could just blow it over.
I'd use these to build a 10x12 garden shed, but not a residence/cabin.
