Do any of you have a recommendation for a water pump for a small cabin for two people? How many GPM should it be? And finally, where are you installing your water pump? Under the kitchen sink?

How far above or below the cabin floor level is your water storage?

What are you pumping from?

How many fixtures will the pump serve?

I would be pumping from a large water storage tank to 3 fixtures. Distance is unknown at this time.

If you mean to be using an RV type water pump install it as close as possible to the bottom output fitting of the water storage tank. That gives best performance, best delivery. If the pump has to draw the water up from the tank bottom performance drops. Many RV pumps have a head limit of 6 feet; it will not deliver the same GPM if it has to lift the water that far.

Pumps have a GPM rating. Fixtures all have a rating. Do the math to see if you could use more than one point of use at a time, and decide if it matters.
