Hello everyone im new here been reading a lot on here but haven't came across this yet maybe I missed it. I plan on building a 12x16 cabin in the near future with 2x6 floor and I'm thinking about using the bigfoot tube foundation and wondering whats a good spacing between tubes. Thanks in advance

Well, tubes at the four outer corners are an obvious choice but then it depends on whether you have any interior walls. If you do then the tubes should be under the point where the interior wall hits the exterior wall. If it's one big open room then you should do 3 tubes on the end walls (the 12' ones) and three tubes in the center of the 16' walls (so 9 tubes in all). This way your max distance between tubes is 8'.
I think your 2x6 floor joists are too small. You should go to 2x10 and you'll get a much more rigid floor (and more room for insulation).

It really all depends on how it all calcs out. Soil bearing capacity, snow load, building design etc. Its easy to use too much or too little without doing the math first.
