Gotta love building science. they rule.
Perfect timing for the start of building season in my area too.
I felt a bit foolish double taping my top flashing on the last window I installed. I'd seen a picture, I think it was finehomebuilding. and they double taped all the adhesive tape flashings.
using first with the heavy adhesive tape and then the second layer was the red acrylic tape.
so I see buildingscience here is doing the same thing.
That "smooshing" a preventive layer of silicone/goop under the window trim/flashing was a neat idea too.
