Very nice, thanks for posting.
No where near as fancy, but here's another. Built with a chainsaw, axes & a piece of string for measuring.

Wow! Birth of a Wooden House is wonderful. If I had any negative comment at all it would be why would they cover up so much beautiful joinery? The house will definitely last centuries.
And I'm not sure I would wield an ax like that wearing sandals. I would be a few toes shy after that!

Very well done.
This is piece-en (or sur)-piece construction, a very good method of blending timber and log.
Many of the early Hudson Bay Company buildings were built using this method. More pics and history for a leisure morning.
