I have a metal coragated roof at my cabin. Under coragated roof is a foam material to seal between structure and roof material. I am missing a lot of foam. Nice place for insects and mice to get on. Do any of you have any suggestions what to use to fill openings in coragated metal? IT needs to be breathable and rot resistant. Thanks in advance.

I have my plywood sheated roof, with felt underlayment, then metal roof. Was someone trying to make it quiet during rain? I have a full attic and insulated ceiling, I cant hear anything on my roof. I'd love to hear the rain, it puts me to sleep.

Yes, I like the sound of rain also. This is a picture similar to what was installed before panels secured to roof. Sorry, I can't get photo to up load.

Notes- You can buy those closures from a metal roofing supplier. They are not too expensive and fit the profile of your roof metal. Not sure what part of the country you are in, but if you look for metal roof suppliers on the internet there are probably several in your area. 84 Lumber, (Home Depot and Lowes through their Pro Desks can help you with metal roofing) as well as supply houses where pole building builders and farmers order from.
Take a picture of the roof panels from the top and end with you, along with measurements of the peak to peak distances and they should be able to help you out. Many times different manufacturers use the same panel profile, so even if you don't know the exact manufacturer of your panels you may still be able to get the closures no problem.

the closures come in vented too. depending on where you are, the supply houses for pole building/farmers that cabinbiscuits mentions can be 1/2 the price of big box. a quick fix is a can of foam insulation. spray and seal.

I had the same concern, so I sprayed in foam insulation. So far so good, but for some reason a local woodpecker likes to peck it.

Agree with spncerin - I have metal roofs on six structures - only used manufacturer's foam on main building and then used spray insulation foam - has worked fine for me.
