I know there have been many discussion threads on here regarding small wood stoves, but I am interested in a small zero clearance fireplace option. I like the idea that it won't take up any valuable floor space within my small cabin. I have some concerns about performance however. The problem is finding a small BTU fireplace option. I've been looking at the Stuv 16 but not sure it's available in North America. Link: http://www.stuv.com/en/products/fitted-stoves/stuv-16-in/streamlined-design.html Does anyone have any recommendations? / experience?

I have no experience with these, but Morso makes several wall mount type stoves in the 30-40,000 BTU range. Here's one:

they are a great space saver ,it was built mostly outside the cabin with just the face maybe 3 in. inside the cabin .. it was not a sealed unit so it wasen't very efficient . I got the unit and 20ft. of chimney for 25$ at junk yard. Sorry no pic

I'm refreshing this topic to see if there are any more responses. Really interested in a small zero clearance. Will check out the cottage life show end of march and see if any of the standard manufacturers have an option.

I'm also looking for a micro fire place for a 10 x 16 two room, off grid hunting cabin. I thought about building one 1 block wide (16") and 1 block deep and line the fire box with bricks, and continue the blocks up 8 ft for the chimney.
Anybody out there tried this?
