I like how it says "Attempt at high quality". I always wondered how these tiny houses ran up the cost so fast. But I guess when you pay someone else to give you luxury you pay for it.

Trailer $2,000
Mechanicals $10,000
Shell, windows and doors $7,500
Kitchen $5,000
Interior finishes $5,000
TOTAL including 10% additional profit: $33,000

DIY:
Used Trailer $900
Mechanicals $3600 (mini split, water heater, plumbing, electric etc)
Shell $2500
Kitchen $2000 (appliance, cabinets, counter)
Interior finishes $1000
TOTAL $10,000 (assuming you do the work and find great deals)

I'm on my way. Trailer: 300 bucks. It's my project for next year.
I have the door. 40 bucks. super score from an end of day garage sale. ...with window and includes metal flashing. I have the windows. Just the glass. Argon filled. LowE coating. $6 ea. they're small 2x2' so will gang them. I had 26. Have used 9 so far.
Can't wait for building season. I have guests coming end of June so want to have it together as a guest bedroom by then. LOL. Maybe if Owen came for a visit first...
