Here is our issue. We are about to start construction on our 20x40 cabin/off grid home and have ordered our materials. Now what we did not realize at the time was that we do not have a concrete pumper truck in our area. This would not be an issue in most cases, but we are going to use ICF blocks and the Fab-Form mono-pour footing system.
Now since we can not pump the concrete, what would our success rate be if we were to attempt filling both the footing and blocks by hand? I do not suspect cold joints would be an issue with a smaller area, but since our footing is roughly two-three feet wide, and half that height before we even hit the blocks could we vibrate to ensure each 9cu feet of concrete mix properly?
This is not an idea situation, but we are forced to now pour our footing and knee wall in this fashion.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
