I think 29 gauge is what is generally out there off the shelf metal roofing.....its usually about $3 per running foot for the colored roofing, about 2.50 ft for just galvanized , 38" wide as standard....give or take a few cents...I would guess siding would run about the same..

We just paid $2.21 a running foot for 36 inch colored at Lowe's. The special order stuff is alot cheaper than the in stock stuff and you can order it to length for your project.

I've always paid less than $1 a running foot for used on Craigs list. I've gotten some good stuff and some not so good stuff. Just takes time for a decent deal to come around, but they do.

I have been pricing as well lately. Lowes price today was 3.21/ft Home Hardware was 3.54 and Home Depot was over 4.00 Best price was 3.10 from a local Mennonite place. Much better price on screws and strapping.
