I am building a 20 x 24 " Storage Shed" this year myself. 10 foot walls to add some height to the loft area (1/2 Loft). I drew my own plans by figuring what I wanted as for sizes of the bath and kitchen areas and going from there.The bathroom is the only enclosed space. loft will serve as the bedroom. It all depends on what you want and can live with. Is it going to be just a weekend get-a-way or will it become a full time residents? For now mine will be a weekend get-a-way, but I do plan on moving in sometime in the next few years.

Martian, where does your plumbing run for the kitchen/bathroom? is it under the cottage? inside the walls?

My wife and I are getting ready to submit plans for this size on our lot in Puna (Mountain view, Hi) I've been reading the building code somewhat and haven't found anything that excludes our doing it. Did you get your permit yet?
