Hmmmm.
The funny thing is, she said her husband learned to do this watching YouTube. I mean, if you watch enough YouTube, you would build something better.

Many people actualy search out areas that dont have building codes..this is about the structure strength I would expect from one of these areas. Lol

A lot of what is in codes is about structural design, and much that is not directly structural is still about safety.
DaveBell, I would not necessarily delete the thread.

I'm with ICC, leave it, good example of what not to do.
With the OSB, not a big loss to demo it. I cant stand OSB, despise the stuff.

Just to be clear, I was not trying to be a jerk posting this.
I am really disappointed YouTube took away the thumbs down. When you see a normal instructional video or demonstration and it has a million downvotes, you know to look in the comments. There are often many excellent well written explanations of why something is wrong. I have really learned a lot from those.
I was thinking the Uh Oh thread could be a place people could post such things.
The above one though, is almost so bad there might be something going on there and don't want to be 'laughing' at someone whose having some issues.

Yup, I'm logged in. I can't see the number of thumbs down. Is there a way to do that?
Was a good indicator something was hinky with the content.
