I was tired of all of the white in my cabin kitchen. I decided to paint it with black chalkboard paint. I am not sure how I feel about it. I have included a before and after photo.

I like it. All white made it look unfinished.

I like the black however idk if I would have gone with chawlk board paint as it's super flat and will never look this good again. Your glong to have to wipe things off it, it's a kitchen

Looks good. I like colors as accent walls more than black, but that is better than all white. Actually, the only white I have is the ceiling in some rooms.

And it is just paint, if/when you get tired of it easy to change!

I like it a lot. It’s amazing what a little paint can do.
We used black paint in three areas of our city house and it looks really good.
Probably would have used it as an accent in our cabin as well if it wasn’t log.

We were up to the cabin this weekend and the chalkboard paint was a hit. I was worried my wife wouldn’t like it. I didn’t tell her I was doing it.

No wonder she likes it. Great looking kitchen.

You also have more cupboards and counter space than the kitchen at my house! Cleaner too.

Nice job.

Wow! I wasn't sure what to expect when I read your first post. It looks great. As someone with a design background, I have a hard time visualizing stuff.

That said, what are you using for flooring? Looks like 1x pine boards??? Just taking a guess.
