This may sound stupid but I have never fully installed vinyl siding from start to finish, only made repairs.

Last night i was installing the first row to a starter strip and it went on really easy and I didn't notice a click or lock.

So I pulled the siding piece over the entire starter curlyque thing and it was on solid. I left it that way, but it was a b!t@h to get it on.

Not sure that is correct, it shouldn't be thsat hard, secondly i might have mixed brands on the starter strips.

Does the bottom of the siding clip into the curly que part or does it slide all the over the whole thing, see pic.

Thanks

Just the lip. Mixed brands shouldnt matter to much.

Thanks. Knew it shouldn't be that hard. It just didn't feel solid.
