Can you rotate a bit like a clay spade/shovel in the chuck? So, instead of the shovel facing up, turn it 180*, or even 90*, so it's facing down or sideways, without changing the orientation of the rotary hammer drill itself, of course.....

Arnt all SDS bits in a rotory chuck? Put the drill in drill mode until its clocked the right way then back into chizzle mode.

Apparently Milwaukee does have an adjustment mode where the position can be changed and then locked in. At least on the $700 model I saw last night did. Makes sense. I must have missed that or the off brand cheap copy I saw didn't have that.

Just put the selector to hammer drill. Get position. Put the selector to hammer.
