I lived in OH for a couple of years not too long ago and I came across this cabin builder during the time I was there. I believe they acquire large farmsteads and then parcel up the land and sell the lots, usually vacant, but sometimes with nice cabin shells built on them.
I enjoy checking them out from time to time even though I live in another state now because I appreciate what they do and the "dreams" they offer for an affordable price. I figured others on here might appreciate it, too, or even be looking to buy something in southern or central OH.....

And, no, I have absolutely zero connections to them.

Quoting: spencerin I came across this cabin builder
Spence, I don't see any cabin building on the link provided. I see lots of real estate.

There are two NY based companies that do this same thing. Most are prety small 16x16 or so cabins and they want nearly house prices for a rough cut unfinished cabin with no well or septic.

There are several on there right now with sizable Amish-built cabin shells. Usually there's more, but I bet those sell more quickly and are taken down to make room for more ads.
I've seen several with 5+ acres and a cabin shell for $75k to start, some wired for generator electricity, some with outhouses for humanure type toilets. The lots are parceled out such that they all have road access, and a lot come with gravel driveways and gates. That's a good deal for what you get. It wouldn't surprise me that if you bought a vacant lot from them and you wanted to build a cabin on it, they would hook you up with the builder they use, too.
